This seminar surveys and discusses theories about the stability of democracies. The most influential among them focus on domestic economic factors and posit that democracies survive as long as progressive redistribution is unlikely or unfeasible.

Open to honours students and MSc students in all subject areas, but a limited number of spaces are available.
